Beyond Business: Why PR Professionals Believes Gurugram is More than Just an Address
At PR Professionals (a leading PR agency and integrated communications agency), Gurugram is more than just an office location. It is where the organisation’s journey began. The city offered opportunity, talent, belief, and momentum. PR Professionals built relationships, learnt, and grew here. Therefore, when the organisation speaks of giving back to Gurugram, it is not out of compulsion or for appearances. It comes from a deep sense of responsibility. When a city becomes part of an organisation’s story, giving back feels instinctive.
Gurugram’s rapid rise is not driven by infrastructure and capital alone, but by its people the ‘Gurugrammers’ who invested their time and effort in building something meaningful. Businesses, professionals, civic leaders, and communities have evolved together. As a communications-led PR agency, PR Professionals believes growth and responsibility go hand in hand. When a city enables success, it deserves participation, care, and respect in return.
This belief shaped the idea behind ‘I Own Gurugram’ not merely a campaign, but a mindset. It is an initiative by PR Professionals to inspire citizens to take ownership of Gurugram’s well-being. The initiative rests on a simple truth: people care more deeply for places they feel responsible for. ‘I Own Gurugram’ encourages everyone associated with the organisation to stop seeing the city as someone else’s concern and start treating it as their own. Ownership influences behaviour. Behaviour shapes cities. That is where real change begins.
The #IOwnGurugram campaign was launched by PR Professionals on its 14th anniversary. Over 100 PRpians came together to repair and fill potholes near the organisation’s headquarters on MG Road. Team members also cleaned pavements and surrounding areas near Guru Dronacharya Metro Station, collecting nearly one tonne of garbage. The effort went beyond being fulfilling—it sparked participation. Passersby paused, asked questions, and many joined in, showing how visible action inspires collective action. This was followed by additional cleanliness drives across Gurugram. The campaign also included interactions with Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Gurugram civic bodies, helping stakeholders discuss challenges together and work towards practical solutions.
For PR Professionals, social contribution is never symbolic. As an integrated communications agency, the organisation applies its core strength – communication to create tangible impact. It has consistently supported causes that require visibility, credibility, and clarity. When stories are communicated responsibly, they build empathy, influence thought, and encourage action. This belief defines how the agency engages with society.
Over the years, PR Professionals has supported causes aligned with community needs and national priorities. These include communication support for justice and safety initiatives such as the Nirbhaya cause, as well as continued involvement in education-focused efforts. The organisation has adopted schools and supported children from vulnerable backgrounds, including those orphaned during the pandemic, ensuring educational continuity during difficult times. These efforts are guided by sensitivity, not timelines.
At the centre of this commitment stands the leadership vision of Founder & Managing Director, Dr. Sarvesh Tiwari. His belief that businesses must act as responsible members of society continues to shape the agency’s culture and direction. Under his leadership, social responsibility is not treated as a separate vertical but as an integral part of organisational thinking. Initiatives like ‘I Own Gurugram’ reflect a leadership approach that balances purpose with performance.
Employee participation remains central to the organisation’s ethos. At PR Professionals, responsibility is shared across teams and roles. Employees are encouraged to engage in local and social initiatives, whether through volunteering, supporting education, or contributing to pro bono communication projects. The organisation believes consistent, small actions create lasting impact. Looking ahead, PR Professionals aims to continue growing alongside Gurugram, contributing in ways that evolve with the city’s changing needs. The commitment is long-term, grounded in consistency rather than scale. For PR Professionals, Gurugram is not just a business address; it is home. And when a city gives so much, giving back with integrity, care, and purpose becomes both natural and necessary.
